Five Years Together: Advancing Maternal and Child Health in Armenia |

YEREVAN, ARMENIA - On November 12, 2009, the USAID-funded Project NOVA presented its five-year achievements in supporting maternal and child health in Armenia. Representatives of USAID Armenia, the Armenian Ministry of Health, Marz Health Departments, international and local organizations, healthcare providers from various health facilities, leaders of several rural communities and NOVA staff attended the event. At a ceremony entitled “Five Years Together: Advancing Maternal and Child Health in Armenia,” Project NOVA Chief of Party Inna Sacci welcomed the guests and thanked them for the fruitful partnership and their contribution in the project implementation. |

Abovyan Maternity Received Newborn Resuscitation Equipment with the Help of Burns Supper Donations |

On October 20, 2009, Mr. Charles Lonsdale, British Ambassador to Armenia, Charles Masraff, Chairman of the Burns Committee, and Sangita Patel, Head of USAID/Armenia Social Reform Office presented newborn resuscitation equipment to Abovyan Maternity Hospital generously donated through the Burns Supper charity event in February 2009. |

Newly Renovated Vedi Polyclinic Welcomes Children and Their Parents |
|
Vedi, Ararat marz – On July 31, 2009, USAID/Armenia DSRO Director Sangita Patel and the Vedi MC Head Khazhak Grigoryan cut the ribbon at a ceremony marking the re-opening of the Vedi Medical Center’s Children Polyclinic. This renovation was made possible through the joint efforts of the US government, local Armenian government and the Vedi Medical Center with the support of USAID Project NOVA.
